Crawford and Madison (aka Ed & Eddy) were rescued from the streets a little over a month ago and after a little love and attention have adjusted amazingly well and will make wonderful family dogs. We originally thought they were brothers because they look so similar but after observing their relationship, we think they might be Father and Son! Crawford seems to have adopted the role of protector, whereas everything seems to be a brand new experience for Madison.
Madison is about 23 pounds and sweet as can be. He loves snuggle all day and play fetch in the house to get his exercise. He is nervous and hesitant in new situations (city buses still startle him a bit) but after a little encouragement he adapts very well. He enjoys playing with other dogs, running on the beach but most of all he loves to snuggle. I think Madison would be great as a family dog, perhaps even younger children as he is super gentle and doesnt require a lot of exercise.
Crawford is a 15 pound little charmer and a real lover of people he knows. He tends to bark in new situations and it has been tougher for him to adjust to doggie parks and outdoor activities but is the best in-door smaller dog you could hope for! He will best be best suited with a family or one special person who he can call his own. He wants to sit in your lap all day and have his chin scratched. I think Crawford will be an amazing addition to any home.
We would love find a family who wants them both with a large yard. If adopted separately we would like to see Madison in a home that will provide lots of outdoor activities and Crawford go to a quiet predictable home so he can cuddle and be inside.
