Toy (0 – 10 lbs) Learn MoreDespite his feisty Scottish name, wee “Mac” is a laid back love who loves to cuddle and kiss. He was found as a stray in Oakland and we can’t believe his parents didn’t search high and low for this guy! We think he is a Border Terrier / Dachshund mix because of his wiry beard and little legs. He loves everyone (and we mean everyone) and does extremely well with other dogs (he’s currently in a foster home with two).
We don’t think he was previously a house dog as he’s quickly getting up to speed on potty training and is pretty impressed with things like the dishwasher, coffee maker and bacon 😉 But this guy is a smarty: he adapted quickly to his crate and sleeps through the night in it, learned how to walk on a leash like a pro and has also already caught on to the word “sit” and that it means treats and dinner.
We think Mac would do equally well in a home with dogs or by himself. We haven’t had him around children yet, but based on what we know, we think he would do fine. He likes to play, but isn’t high-energy and tends to prefer to snooze so he could also do well with someone retired or older. Basically, he’s a one-size-fits-all kinda dog!
It will be very hard to let him go, but we can’t wait to help Mac find his forever home!
Please email adopt@rocketdogrescue.org to meet him!
