beauregard

Beauregard is a small (but mighty) dog. He is a good looking boy with a quiet, contemplative personality. Beauregard is about 5-9 pounds (i'm guessing) and is a toy fox terrier mix. He is (typical of most terriers ) a bit of an emotional trainwreck. Beauregard is not very good with other dogs, so he'd prefer to be the only dog in the house.

He is deeply loving and completely devoted once he knows and trusts you but it does take a few days to win his heart and is trust. So Beauregard is not great with strangers reaching for him... he will try to avoid them by just moving away, but if someone grabbed him unexpectedly he may bite.
(I have to be honest about this- if a stranger were to grab me unexpectedly, I would be likely to bite as well.)

Beauregard is a perfect gentleman in the house. He is crate trained and seems to like his crate. He is quiet, clean, and is never the one starting trouble. He is a good good dog that wants the right home and will be an awesome dog. He wants to be in a calm stable household with out allot of changes (so if you are a college student with 14 roommates Beauregard would not be happy at your house)

He will be happiest with just his family and an occasional outing. He may want to be in a carrier if he is out in a crowded area on the street. (He would prefer a cool carrier with a skull&crossbones in glitter, if possible- not a pink one with ruffles..)

But as long as you are willing to love him and watch out for his fears and keep him safe and give him a warm home he will happily ride in any carrier you see fit.
