Gracie is about 3 years old, weighs about 40 pounds. She's mixed breed, probably basenji, maybe some American terrier, perhaps a touch of German shepherd. She has a lot of energy—does best with a robust walk every day—loves
playing ball, loves belly rubs and is a joy to come home to with a happy
dog greeting. She likes chewing on toys (not the furniture) and is house-trained.

We think she would thrive in a household with another dog or dogs. She
loves to play and be with other dogs and is best in a pack. She's more a
follower than a leader. She can get scared around new dogs and gets her
hackles up until she knows them. She lives with four cats and can be protective around food, but all and all has gotten along with them just fine, and has become good buddies with the youngest. Still, she may do best in a home without cats -
unless they set the standard right away that they are the boss.
Gracie should go to an adult home only...
