Leave No Dog Behind. Make a difference in a dog's live. Adopt. Foster. Give. Rock on.

homer

Homer is a cute terrier with a personality bigger than his <15 pounds warrants.  He is probably between 3-6 years old, and his favorite thing to do is play with his tennis ball.  He loves to chase after it, carry it back in his mouth and drop it in front of you for more.  And if you wait too long to toss it again, he’ll  nudge you!  (His second favorite is to bring you his other toys)

Someone definitely trained homer and took good care of him in the past, because Homer is housetrained, rarely barks, does pretty well on a leash, is starting to respond more consistently to commands like sit and down, and he does well in his crate at night and during the work-day. Homer loves having company (and will sit quietly next to you on the couch when he’s not chasing his ball) but he can take care of himself when alone.  He’s still working on being around other dogs (especially other small dogs) and not begging at the table, but  with some attention, this smart cookie will be well behaved in most settings. His current foster home has never had a dog before, and she and his dog walker say he’s an easy and fun dog!

He has a heart murmur that we're looking to treat and once he visits the vet, we'll know more about his condition soon.
