Jenna
She slices, she dices, she’s the amazing super Jenna! She knows off, jump up, leave it, drop, sit, down, look, stay, touch it, take it, over/under and she sits at every corner! We also clip her toenails, give her baths and brush her teeth at home. She eliminates the need for a compost pile due to her zeal for fruits and veggies. She rides MUNI, loves the car, and is crate and potty trained!
At a slight 43 pounds and about four years old, Jenna is one goofy love bug. She is UTD on shots and is spayed. She loves sleeping on the couch, taking long walks, chewing on bones, going for rides, dissecting stuffed animals and hanging out with people. She has reached that wonderful period of life known as adulthood. She is relaxed and a real pleasure to be around in the house. It doesn't seem that Jenna was allowed to be part of a household before, so she is absolutely thrilled to be considered a member of the family now.
Like many shelter dogs’, Jenna’s background is a mystery. Due to the nature of her scars, it is clear that her wounds were caused by dogs. For that reason, Jenna is defensive around other dogs and would prefer the company of people. She is reactive in certain situations. But she has now learned that it is not her job to protect her pack. She continues to make progress through positive reinforcement and reconditioning. She has also picked up some exceptional manners along the way. Jenna really enjoys clicker training, and that would be an excellent way to bond with her new person.
Jenna has had a harder life than most of us can imagine. Yet she is not dwelling in the past. She needs a leader in her life; someone to reassure her in uncomfortable situations but to also remind her of her manners. She is a small pitbull with a big personality and an enormous heart. She needs someone who understands the importance of structure. Jenna knows she is special and is ready to be treated like the princess she is. She wants to be your only child; that means no cats, kids or other dogs (for now at least). That's okay though because Jenna has enough personality and love to fill any household. She had a rough start in life but is on her way to becoming someone's perfect pal. If you give her a chance, Jenna will spoil you back 10 times more than you’ll spoil her.
