Petey the pitbull is the sweetest dog I've ever met. He loves everyone, even kitties! He is friendly with dogs and is really just a peaceful guy who wants affection and a soft bed. Oh, and lots of good food!

Petey is about 9 months to a year old, with gorgeous coloring and a sweet face. He is about 40 pounds but is very skinny still. He needs to gain a few pounds to be at a really healthy weight. What a good GOOD boy..

Petey is the most well-balanced loving dog, it's hard to believe that he can't see. (We believe he can see shadows or fuzzy shapes) still, he is calm and loving. If he hears you move he will trot to you for a pet and to be near you. We are taking him to Dr. Cook, a vision specialist, in hopes that she will be able to preform the surgery to repair his vision.

He was found wandering around a feral cat colony in search of food. He was very respectful of the cats. Just hungry. Petey was skinny and in bad shape.

Who ever had owned him had wrapped a rubber band around the base of his tail hoping for a home-done tail-crop. His tail was horribly infected and beyond being saved, it had to be removed. Petey now has a little short tail that wags happily when he hears you talk.

Petey is ready for a home! He is such a great dog - I'm having difficulties explaining just how amazing he is - you have to see him to know. The minute you meet him you can feel it - this dog has something very special.

Petey is in need of surgery for his eyes so he can see clearly again.
(the surgery for his tail and some other vet care has already been done..)
