Emmie Lou and diego

Meet Emmie Lou – named after our love of Emmie Lou Harris. Emmie Lou is a happy puppy now that she has eaten, eaten, slept, snuggled and had a bath. She is more aggressive than her brother Diego. But with wagging tail and a need to snuggle, she is sure to be a great pet.
Meet Diego – named after a little boy in the laundry mat. Diego is a happy puppy now that he has eaten, eaten, slept, snuggled and had a bath. He is a licker / kisser. And so tame. And so smart – he figured out the puppy pad right away!
Four puppies were rescued on 1/21. 4 siblings in the litter died. I would love to keep him, but I know he needs a long-term home with lots of love and resources. He deserves it as he is so appreciative of what you do, smells so nice, loves to snuggle and kiss, has had such an undeserved way of coming into the world. He is so hungry from being starved.
______________
A few days ago Rocket Dog Rescue stepped in to save four little emaciated puppies. They are 8 week old puppies; papa was a bloodhound and mama was a petite pit mix. There were originally eight puppies but before Rocket Dog Rescue stepped in, four of them died of starvation. When we got the remaining four, there belly's were swollen from starvation and from worms. They ate as though they hadn't eaten in days, and they were also starving for love and affection. Its clear they aren't used to love, when we reach for some of the pups, they initially cower, and are nervous. But they have quickly blossomed and want to be near people at all times, and they are full of joy and sweetness and love...
This morning one of the pups, Charlotte began vomiting, and couldn't stop. She was lethargic and would not eat or drink. We took her to emergency, and she has PARVO, a serious and potentially deadly virus. She needs treatment in order to stay alive: inpatient hospital stay, IV fluids and IV bacteria. The total estimate is approximately $2,000.
Unfortunately the other puppies were also exposed to the virus and are also very sick now as well. We are trying everything in our power to save all these puppies, and they are all currently are getting treatment and we are hoping they will make it through and have a fair chance at life! The treatment for each puppy is easily $1,000-$2,000+
