Are you looking for a dog to go running with you? Hoping to find that dog that can keep up with your active lifestyle? Scoopy is your man! He is a 2 year old, 75lb Rhodesian Ridgeback mix and he is ready for any physical challenge you can bring. Scoopy’s exercise needs are considerable and a high priority, he needs a home that will prioritize it daily. Once exercised, his training is very effective and should continue as he loves to please and can’t get enough treats! He is very loving and affectionate plus an awkward, dorky teenager. His dorkiness can be challenging due to his size, and even though he loves children and visitors, he would be safest in a home with children over 12. Scoopy knows basic commands of sit, down, wait, look and prefers to hear “Let’s go” rather than “come” in hopes that an adventure awaits. He absolutely loves life and is eager for any new adventures as he spent a long time in a shelter and missed out on many socialization opportunities. Scoopy gets along with other dogs, still he likes to play rough and rowdy and not all dogs can handle his energy. He has a strong prey drive and has not been introduced to cats. At the end of a good day, Scoopy will curl up in a ball with his chew toy nearby dreaming of a chance to lay in your lap and melt your heart with his tender eyes – could you be the lucky one?
