Zellie
Zellie is a beautiful girl with long willowy legs and deep brown soulful eyes that will melt your heart. She was named Zellie for the grace in which she moves, gliding around the yard, leaping like a gazelle. Zellie is about 2 years old, I believe her to be a sight hound, possibly a pharaoh hound mix.. what ever her mix is, she is stunning and unusual. Zellie has been through training and knows all basic commands (very well). She is loving, affectionate and loyal to the bone. Zellie does have some special needs with her behavior, though. She is energetic and down right spazzy at times, and can become over stimulated in a crowded urban environment. I feel that Zellie will need a person who does not want to take their dog to really crowded and chaotic places often- I think she gets distracted by fast moving things and gets nervous. She is best as a homebody, hanging out with the family, taking walks on the leash, with a solid routine. Zellie loves to sit half way in your lap with her long neck draped around yours, hugging. she will sit like this for a long time, she truly loves being hugged, held and loved. She is rock solid with her people and those she calls friends (it takes about 3 minutes to be counted as one of Zellie's friends).
She is not great with kitties, as she will chase them (sorry kitties..its true..) Zellie likes other dogs but some other dogs do not like Zellie's energy so she is best with one or two good dog friends and not go to the dog park. She would love to be a second dog in a home - she loves her family!!! she is so eager to please and would be crushed if she felt like she did something to make you unhappy.
