Monk is a three year old male chihuahua mix. He is house-broken, has had all his shots, is neutered and weighs a cool six lbs. He was found hungry and cold, taking a nap in a ditch. Nowadays his pullover keeps him warm while snoozing on the sofa. A better name for Monk would be Mr. Chill. Monk’s philosophy seems to be enjoy your naps, love your walks, and love everyone and everything that crosses your path. He is great with other dogs, even those that are ten times his size. He is totally relaxed with our neighbors cat. To be honest, I think they shoot the breeze when I am not looking.
Monk has quietly informed me that his new guardians do not need to be super active. He likes walks, but weekly marathons are not necessary when you’re six pounds. He says his new folks need to have nice warm laps for him to snuggle into on a regular basis and back rubs are obligatory. They will receive a lot of love, Monk says, but he would like the same in return. He is quite happy to spend the day out anywhere and everywhere as long as his new guardian(s) bring a fluffy bag he can snuggle into when his little legs get tired. Mr. Chill is also quite happy to spend a few hours alone, if necessary. Now, if you don’t mind, he would like to go back for a snooze on the sofa while waiting for your call.
