Boxer is one of those quiet dogs that doesn’t want to be noticed at first. He is a bit of a wallflower, craves attention but is too shy to ask for it. Found wandering for several weeks in a neighborhood, he was scared and filthy. People left food out but it wasn’t until someone put an ad in the local Penny saver news-rag (the ad read “Free dog. He can live outside if you just throw some food at him”), that our hero Carol went and picked this little guy up. After asking around, it seems that Boxer’s owner passed away and Boxer was put out onto the streets.
Boxer has been seen by a vet and is up to date on his vaccines, and is neutered. He is about 4 yrs old and 12 lbs. Poor guy was scared at first but is now more relaxed and is happy to see his foster people. He may still be a bit nervous around small kids and gets overwhelmed by too much commotion, but he is adjusting to city life. Boxer is a lovely little guy who just wants to be your quiet companion. We think he is a terrier mix.
(We can’t imagine what he was feeling as he was kicked out of his home and forced to scrounge in the streets.)
