Large (60 – 100 lbs) Learn MoreHi there, my name is Alex and people think I might be a Chocolate Lab/Pit Bull mix. I’m about 6 years old and currently weigh around 70 pounds with some room to gain more weight, as I am a little underweight.
My foster family thinks I am quite the gentleman. I love to cuddle on the couch with my people and love to see what my folks are doing. I am also really relaxed at home-a mellow guy who doesn’t really bother anyone or anything. My foster parents are able to work from home with me laying at their feet and wait patiently until they’re done so we can go outside for our walk.
I am housebroken, but did have some accidents in the beginning because everything was new to me. New smells. New people. New routine. So please be patient with me when I finally get adopted by my forever people, because a new transition is always hard on a new dog.
I am pretty mellow in the home and appreciate my walks. I would love a family who can take me on adventures; I’d love to go on hikes and strolls around the neighborhood. (And camping on the weekends!) I am also very strong and could use someone to teach me not to pull on my lead. I am pretty well-mannered at home, but when I am outside, I am interested in the new smells and I will pull you there with all my might. That being said, I am very open to training and would appreciate someone who could continue with teaching me the ways.
I am indifferent about dogs on walks; I see them and then move on. I could easily be an only dog or could be matched with an equally mellow dog. I don’t think young, overly active dogs would be my thing as I don’t want to deal with that kind of energy.
Mellow and chill in the house coupled with lots of outdoor adventures would be awesome! I am in a lovely foster home with 2 teenage kids and have been loving it. I have not been cat tested.
If you think I might be a match, please submit an adoption application and a volunteer will be with you soon. (BS)
