Hola, me llamo America. I came to the United States just a few weeks ago. I lived my entire life in Puerto Rico where I was what they call a “Sato”, meaning I lived on the streets and survived on whatever scraps of food and kindness I could find. I had no name and no family. The day my life changed forever, I was brought to a place called Save A Sato where a group of amazing humans gave me love, a belly full of food, and a new name: America. They hoped for me to be sent to that place so I could find a “forever family”. Now I’m finally here!!
Judging by my appearance, you’d guess I’ve had a rough life. My hair is kind of sparse and I have some scar tissue, but the roughness is only external. My heart is full, my fur is velvet, and my future is bright. I love humans and other dogs. My new friends at Rocket Dog think I’m about 3 (ish) years old; I weigh about 50 lbs. I am mellow and affectionate. Most of all, I’m ready for my forever home.
I am also looking for a foster home!
Please fill out an application and ask for America! A volunteer will contact you soon (AS).
