Angus is an approximately 2-year-old small (15 pound) poodle mix. Angus is one of those dogs who needs a little bit of time to build trust, but once he knows you, is a devoted companion. He can be standoffish on first meeting, but with some love and patience (cheese doesn’t hurt), he will love you forever.
Angus would be best as an only dog, although he does well with other dogs with a proper introduction. Being small and shy he is likely not a good candidate for dog parks. Angus does well when left home alone and hasn’t exhibited any separation anxiety. He is house trained. Angus hasn’t been tested with cats but would likely do fine with a proper introduction. Because he is standoffish at first, he needs to go to an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children (12+).
If you’re interested in Angus, please fill out an adoption application and a volunteer will be in touch. (GS)
