Annie Oakley is a 7-year-old Bloodhound who her foster describes as pure sunshine. Weighing in at 115 pounds (although she should probably be a little closer to 90-100), Annie loves being the life of the party and does great with both people and other dogs. Annie is a typical Bloodhound – she is smart, friendly, social, and has a curious nose. She loves to give slobbery kisses to everyone she meets, both people and other dogs.
Annie came to Rocket Dog with a broken foot and had surgery in mid-June. She is currently recovering from surgery and is on strict rest until early August with weekly bandage changes. She is available for adoption during this time, but will need an adopter who is willing to take her to weekly bandage change appointments.
Annie is house trained and does well walking on a leash (very short walks while she is recovering, but she is able to get around fine even with her cast). Annie loves being in the middle of everything and would do best with an adopter who will incorporate her into their daily life. If you’re interested in Annie Oakley, please fill out an application and a volunteer will be in touch. (GS)
