Hi, my name is Baxter. You’ve heard how folks wear their hearts on their sleeves? Well, apparently I wear mine on my tail. I’ve tried to play it cool, but whenever I feel happy or excited or nervous or relaxed or interested… there goes my tail thump thump thump.
My buddy Sterling (also a Rocket Dog) thinks I’m a bit of a nerd, but I think he secretly enjoys my poetry and singing. I really enjoy making people smile and I believe that most things can be solved by a good long walk. I’ve also discovered that walking nicely on a leash, sitting when I’m told to, and not peeing inside makes people happy. So I’m working on those things.
I weigh about 45 pounds right now and I’m trying to bulk up a bit, but the sanctuary doesn’t have a gym, so my options are kind of limited. I’m only about two or three though so there’s plenty of time.
