We all know those “little old ladies” that think and act (and move) like teenagers, right? Well, meet Bristol! She is supposedly 15 years old but there’s plenty of life in this spunky gal. She loves everyone and everything she meets. We will leave it to her foster to tell you everything about Bristol:
Personality
–very friendly, never shy or scared
–adjusted very easily to her new home with us
–great with adults and children
–great with our big dog, happy to be the beta. Sometimes she barks at small dogs, but most of the time she doesn’t really hear much
–not sure how she is with cats although she did try to chase one once on a walk
–chases after our chickens
–spunky personality, but does what you ask
–likes to cuddle but is not clingy at all
Maintenance
–walking 2-3 blocks per day is fine for her. She is very slow.
–great in the car
–she will go hiking. She walks for a bit and then is happy in a backpack when she gets tired
–house trained but it will take her a minute to establish a routine. Definitely needs open access to a back yard during the day.
When she came to us/health issues
–she is 15 but has a LOT of life left in her
–she came to us overweight and with difficulty walking. She has a benign growth on her back leg that the vet says needs to stay there and be left alone. We took her on short daily walks and eliminated people junk from her diet. Her weight is great and she walks wonderfully.
–she came to us with infected teeth and an abscess brewing on her face. She had 16 teeth removed and no problems since. She has a great appetite.
–she spends most of her day alternating between naps and poking around looking for snacks
–she sleep through the night without any problem
–poor hearing, but no difficulties communicating
We’d love for you to meet her. Please fill out an application here.
