Oh, sweet Butter, we adore you (and your cute little teeth)! Butter is a small (under 20 lbs.) 11-month-old terrier mix looking for a quiet home where she can cuddle up next to her people for some quality nap time.
Butter came to us very afraid and uncertain about the world. Despite her fear, this shy girl has been consistently gentle and with patience has shown that she just needs time to warm up to new things. Once she gets to know you, Butter is “a very friendly, cuddly, sweet couch potato”.
In her foster home, she alternates between following her people around and finding cozy spots to rest (which occasionally involves furniture hopping). While she has bursts of playfulness, this young girl is low-medium energy and has been putting herself to bed by 9pm most nights. Butter is good with other dogs and has been patient with her tiny, very barky foster sister. In her forever home, she would be happy to have another dog around to show her the ropes or to be an only child who gets all the snuggles to herself!
As a young dog still learning that the world can be a fun, safe place, Butter will need continued training and socialization to build her confidence. Butter requires a home with a secure, enclosed outdoor space; she is still figuring out how to walk on a leash.
