Caramel Fresno, aka Cinnamon, is a sweet, silly, awkward dog who strives to be the center of your attention.
Caramel came from a house where there were over 60 dogs and Rocket Dog was asked to step in to help. She came to us very fearful with patchy fur loss due to stress and malnutrition. Over the past two months in foster care, she has seen the vet and been vaccinated and spayed. Her fur has grown back, her eyes are shiny and bright and she loves her foster deeply.
Although she didn’t appear used to being inside much, she has quickly learned how great it is to hang out on the couch and watch TV, and snuggle up for the night next to you. She’s incredibly smart and potty trained quickly, and LOVES chew toys. She’s still learning about squeaker toys but has a tiny pig she treats as her baby.
Cinnamon loves to be outside and running – she is one constant zoomie. Hikes through the hills, romps at the ocean, running through a field – she’s all about that outside life. Small dogs are instant best friends, although she’s still very wary around large ones, preferring to hide behind you for comfort. She’s great inside too though – she goes to work with her foster mom every day and sits quietly at her desk.
Her foster is so very proud of Cinnamon for coming as far as she has in trusting people and enjoying life. She’s gone from a cowering, catatonic, terrified dog, to one that bounds out the door, ready for the next adventure. She takes some time to get to know and trust you, but it’s worth it for the silly wiggles and darting kisses she rewards you with. She is 6 years old.
