Meet Chelsea! A soulful 8 year old German Shepherd weighing in at 75 pounds, Chelsea is a gem of a dog. Housetrained, intelligent, affectionate, low-medium energy – what more could you ask for?
Chelsea is a sensitive girl who warms up to new friends quickly and loves hanging out where the people are. She knows several “tricks”, lays on her bed when told to do so, and has been very well behaved when left alone uncrated (though she’s also a good girl in her crate). She is a smart dog who respects boundaries/rules once they’ve been set – truly a “people pleaser”!
Chelsea loves going out on walks and doesn’t pull on leash – though she needs occasional prompting to move on from a really good sniff spot – and enjoys car ride adventures with her people. With proper introductions, Chelsea has enjoyed the company of other friendly dogs – she is curious about other dogs on walks and likes to say hello when appropriate, and can be calm or playful depending on the energy of the other pup.
Bonus: Chelsea loves kids! Her former foster reports: “She’s been spending time with two toddlers and is beyond gentle when taking treats, just lays there while getting touched, bumped, run into, knocked with toys, brushed, pet, etc. She offered her belly right away when meeting them and gave them the tiniest softest little kisses.”
