This is Cherry. Wow! She’s a looker and as sweet as (cherry) pie! Cherry is a year and a half old and weighs 45 lbs, so she is a nice medium-sized pittie mix. Cherry came to us from a crowded Bakersfield shelter, thanks to volunteer angels who helped her make the trek up to Oakland.
Cherry’s foster says she is potty-trained, although she has peed indoors a few times. She is great with toys, doesn’t chew, dig or destroy anything, and is a quiet pup at home. This girl is super affectionate and just wants to cuddle and give loving gentle kisses. She is a great sleeper and really wants to snuggle up in bed with her human when she turns in for the night. Well, she wants to snuggle all day long, actually!
Cherry does ok on the leash but could use some improvement. Her biggest challenge is meeting other dogs. Cherry is reactive when other dogs come near so she will not do well in off leash areas. She also does great in cars.
If you would like to meet Cherry, please fill out an application and a volunteer will get back to you. (MM)
