Poor little Coco! This miniature poodle mix found herself reluctantly surrendered to the shelter when her family lost their home… they tried to find relatives to keep her, but to no avail. Coco’s world was turned upside down in the moment she was handed over to the shelter.
She was not trusting of most people and would cower in the back of her kennel and bark. She could not be placed for adoption due to her fearfulness and no one was interested in this scared girl.

Rocket Dog Rescue stepped in to give Coco another chance. Fearful and shy dogs need more patience and space to learn to trust, but the rewards are limitless. Coco has become loving and relaxed in her foster home. She still needs more exposure to the outside world (it is likely she was mostly kept in her home without many outside excursions)… accompanying you on errands, sitting outside at the coffee shop, watching the world go by and meeting new people.
Coco is approx. 3-4 yrs old, about 6 lbs, with a silvery coat. Her former family included children, but we have not seen her interact with children or cats since her arrival to Rocket dog rescue. She is ok with most respectful dogs.
