Connelly is one of our several hounds brought in from a disbanded hunting club. Some may do well as only dogs while others may need dog playmates, but we believe all of them will be great family dogs. Many of them will likely need a little of extra time, love, and patience to adjust to a home environment.
Connelly is a three-year-old male hound who weighs around 60-70 lbs. He is sweet and gentle with humans. Connelly is very curious and loves exploring. Like many hounds, he likes to follow his nose and can be stubborn. He has a medium energy level and would do best with a moderately or highly active family. He loves to play and snuggle with stuffed animals and does well with other dogs. He is crate trained and mostly house trained (he walks to the door when he wants to go out). He has not been tested with cats, but does try to chase them if he sees them on walks in the neighborhood, so he would likely be better in a home without any feline friends.
