Meet dream dog Cotton, a 10 year old, 13-pound poodle mix! Cotton is everything one could want in a dog: independent, potty and house-trained, well-behaved, sweet and easy-going, and great with new people and new dogs. She’s also great on a leash and walks with ease and confidence. Her energy level is in the low to medium range, and while she does get random bursts of zoomies and wants to chase squeaky toys, she loves a comfy dog bed and just hanging out. She is a low-maintenance dog, and a great, loving companion!
It’s possible that she was neglected before Rocket Dog rescued her, as she is slightly overweight (by 2 pounds) and has dental issues, which are currently being treated. Her ideal forever home will invest time to help her to get back in shape with more exercise routines and portion control on feeding. She loves walks so it should be easy, and maybe didn’t have many chances to move outdoors due to her previous owner’s health issues. Otherwise, she is super healthy for her age; at her recent vet visit, her eyes and heart received a healthy, strong report!
Cotton also has zero separation anxiety – she is fine being alone and just relaxes and sleeps if you need to go out to do errands, etc. Cotton will do well and fit in any type of household. Cotton has so much love to give, and is looking for a family to make her golden years as happy as can be! (MB)
