Meet Cowboy! He is a super-sweet and affectionate pitbul who is about 5 years-old and weighs 60 pounds. Cowboy loves every human he meets and gladly accepts their attention. He loves belly rubs and scratches on his back and behind his ears…those are his favorite! He is also a master in giving kisses and thinks he is a lapdog. Cowboy is a trully velcro dog and sticks to you everywhere you go. He also loves his toys and plays tug of war.
Cowboy loves going for strolls and is super curious about everything he sees. He walks pretty well on a leash after he burns his initial enegy out but can pull very hard if he sees something very exciting or other dogs and since he’s a very strong boy, he can be a lot to handle.
Even though Cowboy doesn’t seem to be dog reactive, he gets extremely aroused and excited when he sees other dogs and this is not the right state of mind for a dog to be in to meet another dog. We see a potential in him to have many dog friends down the road but he is just not there yet and it would take a good amount of time, patience, and love!
He knows how to sit, lay, down and go to his bed for treats but you’d have to help him learn basic obedience manners in order to help him become his best self! Cowboy would do best with an experienced dog handler who is committed to training.
More than anything though Cowboy would love to find his own family who will open up their home and hearts to him and spoil him with treats, cuddles, belly rubs and butt scratches he loves so much!
