Curtis is a 6 month-old Formosan Mountain Dog mix. He has pretty brown eyes, soft black and tawny-gold brindle fur, and makes sounds cute enough for a Pixar movie. He currently weighs 11 pounds so will be on the smaller side for a FMD, perhaps maxing out at 25 pounds.
Curtis has had a BIG start to his 2020, flying over from Taiwan with his siblings so he can find a loving home in the Bay Area. Despite all these big and scary changes, he remains a fun-loving curious guy who is learning a lot about the world.
Curtis is a smarty pants. He’s been learning ‘Crate’, ‘Go pee-pee’, ‘Go poops’ and ‘Come’ with enthusiasm! Despite having a lot of big puppy emotions he keeps a good attitude and just loves interacting with people. Curtis’ house training and crate training are coming along nicely.
Curtis is playful and enjoys being near his people as much as possible. He certainly needs plenty of attention and exercise, but when he is taking one of his many naps he’s happy to just be in the same room or on a lap, curling up and sometimes having adorable little puppy dreams.
Curtis is looking for a loving home that can help this young guy grow into the wonderful dog he’s ready to become. With training and support from the right people Curtis is going to be an amazing dog ready for adventures, kisses, snuggles, and lots of love. Rocket Dog highly recommends puppy training with all puppies. Be mindful that Curtis is a puppy and will need someone to be home every few hours to ensure proper bonding at this critical developmental stage.
FMDs are best-suited with experienced dog owners. Please do research on Formosan Mountain Dogs
