Meet 6 month-old Bayou! He and his brother, Creole (adopted!), were wandering the streets of Central California. They were picked up by animal control but no one came to pick them up. Now, with rescue teamwork, they are ready for their separate forever homes.
Bayou is a sweet loving dog who has the typical energy of a teenage puppy. He does know how to calm down and snuggle better than a lot of other puppies this age. Bayou has a tendency to jump up on people and is learning how to control that impulse. Training and consistency (and plenty of exercise!) will be the ticket to a happy and healthy Bayou.
Please be home every 2-3 hours; puppies don’t do well home alone all day and need to bond with their new adopters. Training puppies takes time and commitment and lots of love sprinkled in. Are you ready? Please fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you. (KG/AL)
