A few weeks ago, a good Samaritan found a litter of puppies abandoned at the construction site where he was working. Puppies are not allowed to operate heavy machinery, so they had to go! Rocket Dog came to the rescue of these cuties and they are now looking for their (individual) loving, forever homes. We call them the Lockwood pups because they were found near Lockwood Elementary. Here’s a little more about one of the pups who has been living it up in a foster home.
Duster is a bold, fun-loving dude that LOVES to wiggle around and give kisses and hugs. He’s outgoing with everyone he meets, and is a fast learner who is well on his way to being housebroken! Duster has a LOT of energy and drive to learn and experience the world, so he really needs a human (or humans) who will take him to puppy classes and socialize him with other dogs. He gets very excited (and is quite talkative) when he meets other dogs, and would do well in a home where he can have an “older brother or sister” to teach him good doggie manners (or lots of dog friends!). Because Duster is still so young, he’ll need someone who can be home every few hours during this crucial puppy training and bonding time. If that doesn’t sound like your idea of fun, please consider adopting an older dog.
Are you ready for the full-time job of adding Duster to your family? He will need plenty of socialization, training, exercise, and patience. You’ll probably end up with about 50-60lbs of pure sweetness. Fill out an application today! A volunteer will contact you (AR).
