Gemma is a 2 year old Pit/Australian cattle dog and is 55 lbs. She is sweet, cuddly, and bonds well with her humans.
While we don’t know much about Gemma’s past, we can tell that she is a sweet, cautious girl ready for a loving home. Gemma has done well on play dates with other dogs in the shelter. She has not been cat tested, but hasn’t gone after feral cats on walks. She has done well gently greeting children in her foster home.
She is cautious and a bit shy with new people and new experiences. She feels pretty overwhelmed with the big city experience, and would do better in a suburban or rural environment. She would do well with 1-2 hours of exercise a day, and a human to curl up next to afterwards. She needs to build up her confidence on leash, as she can get overwhelmed with big city noises. She would benefit living in a house where someone is home most of the time as she adjusts to her new environment.
