Meet the Happy Mr Gilmore!
Gilmore (Gil) loves other dogs and people of all shape, sizes and abilities … he doesn’t judge he just loves … he is in need of a place to call home (forever or foster).
Gil has lived a life of obvious neglect and he deserves better! He was found wondering the streets, dirty, matted and smelly beyond belief. He was so matted he could hardly close his mouth and It took this sweet boy a full 24hrs just to stop panting and calm down after being picked us from the shelter. Happy Gilmore has advanced cataracts in both eyes and from what we can tell does not see much (I can’t even begin to imagine how scary it was for a blind little guy to be wondering like that). Gilmore will need to be in a predictable home, because of his limited sight and stressful past. We think he would very much like to live with another friendly small dog(s) or dog savvy cat, he seems to take comfort and guidance from the other dogs in his foster home.
We are guessing Gilmore is 8-10yrs old, weighs 16lbs, he has been to the groomer, is UTD on vaccines and had x rays and a senior blood work done (blood work looks good!). Gil has some weakness in his hind legs, due to a fused disk in his spine, which means the less stairs the better. He loves to be cuddled and cruse around the back yard in the sun.
Open your heart to this wonderful handsome guy and make his last years the best ever … he will gladly repay you with wags and cuddle time!
