Woof,
I’m Gunnar, about 14 months old and 68 pounds. It appears that I’m a shepard mix with possibly some hound, although he doesn’t bay and he is not barky.
I’m medium energy and have a sweet, affectionate (but not pushy) even-keeled disposition. If you can’t decide between getting a dog or getting a horse – I’m your solution because I’m a very tall boy but don’t let that turn you away – I can fold myself up on a sofa or in my crate Iike an umbrella!
Here is my story: I was found abandoned in a field and brought to a high-kill shelter. I lived there for about 3 weeks. It was very scary. This shelter had very kind people, but the shelter only had cyclone fencing and no roof so I was out in the open with all the other dogs and the recent rain storms. The shelter thought I was special so they asked Rocket Dog to rescue me. I was due to be euthanized on January 19, 2017 and that was the day Rocket Dog saved my life. I am looking forward to meeting my furever family.
My foster parents story: Gunnar arrived on Friday, January 20, 2017 on a VERY rainy evening after traveling 6 hours the day before. Gunnar has already been neutered, unusual in a shelter- pulled dog, so that made us think that once upon a time Gunnar had known caring and love. He settled into his foster home who already have two rescue dogs of their own and greeted his housemates with enthusiasm and friendship. Here are Gunnar’s attributes .Loves people and other dogs. .
