Meet Gunther! Gunther is an 1.5 year old Lab mix who weighs around 65lbs. If you are looking for a well-rounded family dog, Gunther is your guy. Gunther is the definition of a social butterfly. Whether it be people or dogs he is always eager to make new friends and play. Gunther is very loving with his people and always up for some pets or cuddles. Gunther is currently in a foster home with two human children, ages 6 and 11. He loves the kids, but can be a little too rowdy for the 6 year old. We think he would probably do best with kids 10 years or older, but we are flexible for the right family. Labs mature slowly so it’s important to remember that Gunther is still very much in his puppy phase.
Gunther is a medium energy level dog who is happy with a few walks a day and some playtime with his dog friends. He can definitely do longer walks or hikes, of course. What Gunther really loves is other dogs so it’s important his new family either have another dog for him to play with or be able to take him somewhere to play with other dogs on a regular basis. He truly lights up anytime he sees another dog- it’s so cute.
When it comes to training and manners, Gunther has most of the basics down. He is house trained and has never had a single accident in his foster family’s home. He walks fairly well on leash, does not have separation anxiety, and is trustworthy to be left free roaming when his foster family is out of the house. Submit an application to meet Gunther today!
