Hercules (affectionately called Herc by our volunteers) is an approximately 6-year-old medium-sized mix (your guess is as good as ours!) who weighs around 40 lbs. Herc is an absolutely delightful dog. He is a little timid at first, but he totally melts once he has a few minutes to warm up. If you spend a few minutes sitting with him, he will quickly be nudging you for more love. With his gentle, soulful demeanor, Hercules has done well with all kinds of people and other dogs.
Hercules does well on leash and seems to be house trained. He seems to have a relatively low to medium energy level and would probably like nothing more than to spend his days on the couch with his favorite person. (Of course, it’s important to go on daily walks with Hercules for exercise, both physical and mental.)
Because he is a little nervous and head-shy, Hercules would do best in a home without very young children. He would do just fine with older, dog-savvy kids.
