Hobbs is a 6 month-old lab mix who came to us with his brother Shaw all the way from the streets of Taiwan. When they first arrived, the boys were very underweight and scared but they are thriving both physically and mentally in their foster home. If we had to guess, we believe these guys are going to be large dogs.
Our foster writes of Hobbs:
“He is a shy love bug of a pup. We have given him his space allowing him to come out of his shell at his own pace. This has paid off as he really is eager to please and be a part of family life! He is comforted by his crate and likes to retreat there when life gets to be a little too much. He sleeps through the night in his crate with no potty breaks or accidents, once he knows the routine. He is also house trained and had zero accidents in the house! He is very food motivated and already doing great practicing the “sit” command but needs lots of help learning to walk on leash. Patience and love are the recipe to this guys soul. He would be great in a home by himself where his people could be his support and confidence builders but would also do great with another dog in the house who could show him how to really live up that carefree dog life. He has great playground manners with our kids, dog and cat, no one has ever left playtime sad or upset. He is gentle and kind. Someone who can help him gain confidence in the world around him will find themselves with a gorgeous, easy going bundle of love.”
