We are in love with the gentle giants! These babies are looking for a sweet, active home (separately) to grow up in. After a rough start in life these babies are ready to learn about love!
Janet Jackson and Yukon Jack are Anatolian Shepherd (mixes?). They are already 35 lbs at 4 months old! We expect their mature weight to be 80-100 pounds, but no guarantees! The breed is known for being loyal and protective so they need to be properly socialized with other dogs and people, but would make a wonderful family dog.
In their foster home these puppies have been so sweet and cuddly. They are crate trained, are advancing in their house training, and have lived with cats.
Please be experienced in guardian breeds or do your research. Anatolian Shepherds (like Great Pyrenees) are independent dogs who need space to roam. While calm and loving, they also tend to be stubborn and dominant and need an experienced owner who is willing to to take the time to socialize and train them. Janet and Yukon are not suited for urban life. In addition we do not adopt out littermates (Littermate Syndrome), so please do no ask.
Let us know if you’d like to meet these pups by filling out an application; a volunteer will contact you. (VV)
