Kit and Tigger, were found roaming a neighborhood in Castro Valley. These two are literally connected at the hip. Both of them look to be about 1 1/2 – 2 years old. Kit is a German Shepard, and recently had a litter. She looks to be about 55 lbs and is under weight but has a good appetite. She is very sweet with people and other dogs; a bit more reserved than Tigger. She has become attentive to her new surroundings and becomes very vocal when deer or other critters are spotted in the backyard. Kit is also very playful and shows her submissiveness quickly to engage other dogs.
Tigger’s personality is summed up in her name. She is very bouncy when she’s happy and is also Kit’s protector. If Kit is being given love, Tigger inserts herself immediately. She is never more than a whisper away and when they lay down they are always touching each other. Tigger is some kind of terrier mix and she too is quite sweet and we have not heard her bark yet. She looks to be about 60 lbs. She is playful, she and Kit are frequently wrestling or playing tug-of-war with a squeaky toy, all with a very gentle manner.
They are very easy to bathe and do not put up any fuss. Tigger will lay down and enjoy the soap being massaged into her.
They are housebroken and learning how to be walked on a leash.
We cannot emphasize how sweet they both are. They have been on a journey and it is reflected in their eyes and their nails, which were a little more than nubs. We hope they find their forever home together. It is imperative they are adopted together. When one is out of the other’s site for more than a few seconds, the anxiety becomes evident and Kit becomes quite vocal.
