Kona is a very gentle, sweet boy who we believe is a Hound/ Labrador mix. He’s 38 pounds at 5 months old, so be prepared for a big pupper at maturity; we estimate 80+ pounds, but no guarantees. Kona is dog-friendly and would enjoy an older female dog to live with, though that’s not necessary. He hasn’t been cat-tested, but with proper introduction to a dog-savvy cat, she may do well.
Like any young pup, Kona will need to continue working on his manners and being socialized. He will also need engaged and vigorous daily exercise (not a walk around the block). Please be home every 3 hours during this important developmental period to assure Kona gets all he needs and will be a well-adjusted adult. If you cannot provide the proper amount of exercise, cannot be home more often than not, and are not prepared for a large adult dog, please apply for one of our many other pups.
Kona is currently on a prescription diet which means that he can’t have anything else other than his kibble. We will discuss this with applicants. Looking for an adorable pup who needs to learn “all things dog” who will grow to an adorable large dog? Apply here and a volunteer will contact you. (EC)
