Kumo is a 12-week-old Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepherd mix who was born in our care in August. He is a sweet, quiet and gentle little boy who loves naps, cuddling and playing with his siblings. He’s quite calm for a young puppy and this is seen in the breed often. Great Pyrenees make wonderful family dogs, as guardian breeds they are medium energy, opting for gentle walks and chew toys.
Kumo is starting to potty train with his foster mom and brother and is doing well, learning fast. He’s smart as a whip and friendly to all people and animals. He lives with two cats and an older senior dog, so would be perfect addition to a home with other animal siblings.
He is such a little love and is one of the smaller pups in the litter, knowing the size of his parents we estimate he will be between 75-90 pounds at adult weight. (No guarantees.) He’s a lot like his mom in disposition, calm, well-mannered and wanting to hang out with you on the couch and snuggle with you. His markings are undeniably amazing, his fluffy white coat and eyelashes make him look like he has white eyeliner and check out his adorable spotted tummy!
Please be home every 2-3 hours during this important developmental period to ensure continued training and socialization.
Background:
*Back in July, we had a pair of amazing creatures brought to our sanctuary – they ended up being a mating pair of Great Pyrenees and we quickly christened them the Cloud Twins due to their fluffy white coats and their ethereal nature. Sharon and Jacob were loving friendly dogs, who affectionately gave us all hugs, sometimes double teaming.
Sharon gave birth to 8 healthy puppies on August 15th, there are 4 boys and 4 girls and we have affectionately named them the Cloud litter. After a DNA test we have come to realize what was expected; Jacob is a full Great Pyrenees and Sharon is a mix of Great Pyrenees and Cattle or Shepherd.
Fill out an application for Kumo here and a volunteer will be in touch. (GA)
