Meet the cutest of cute, Lada! This lovely lady is a 3-5 year old Pit Mix that weighs 68 pounds. This gorgeous girl has looked all around for her forever family, could it be yours?
Lada came to us from the Sonoma County Animal Shelter where she was turned in as a stray all the way back in the beginning of March! We knew we had to help get this beautiful babe with that heart shaped head into a proper home. Lada is a big fan of people. She’s a cuddly girl who loves to give kisses and get her bum scratched. She’s incredibly sweet and adorably affectionate!
Lada has good leash manners. She doesn’t pull too hard and really enjoys talking long sniff filled walks. We think she would make a good hiking companion as well. She’s an explorer at heart! Lada is a little reactive on her leash and she’s a strong lady. She would do best with an experienced dog handler. Preferable someone with Pit or other large breed experience.
Lada has shown us that she does not enjoy the company of other dogs. She needs a home where she is the only pet so she can be queen of her castle! Because of her reactivity we suggest that there be no children under the age of 16 in the home as well. She would not be a good candidate for dog parks or other similar situations. In time and with proper positive reinforcement training, Lada may be able to become more comfortable around other pups, but it would take a good amount of time, patience, and love!

Lada would love a temporary foster home while he awaits his forever one. Can you help?
