Medium (25 – 60 lbs) Learn MoreThis is Miss Libby, a 1.5 year old shepherd/kelpie mix that came to us from the Central Valley where she was found stray hanging around an elementary school. Sadly, no one came to claim her, but she is embracing her next big break in life to find her wonderful forever home in the Bay Area. She is an excellent house guest in her foster home, getting along splendidly with all the resident dogs. She plays politely and happily with the young bunch and is respectful of the older dogs. Libby is house-trained and rarely barks. She will need some work on her leash manners, but she listens well and will learn what is expected quickly.
She has been going to the dog park and has become a favorite with the regular dog owners and their pets. Libby is a SERIOUS ball player and she says her new owner also needs to be as serious about this very important past-time 🙂
As we have come to know this athletic girl, she has become faster, stronger, more agile and has increased her stamina to play and run.
On a scale of 1-10 for exercise needs, she is strong 8.5. Please, for Libby’s sake (and yours), only apply for her if you are an active individual willing to put in the time and exercise she needs to be a happy pup.
Libby would do best in a home with another energetic/young dog to provide her with canine company and a playmate. If there are children in the home, we are recommending they be over 10 years of age, as she is very bouncy and still has some mouthy puppy habits.
Libby is spayed, chipped, and up to date on her shots. (TH)
