Little Francie is smart, resilient, and eager to learn just like her namesake from A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. This girl wants desperately to bond with her new owners, and to see that the world doesn’t have to be scary. Francie loves other dogs, and plays like a puppy who just can’t get enough attention.
Little Francie is also respectful of the toddler in the foster home, gently giving her kisses when allowed. She sleeps all night in her crate, knows the sit command and is working on mastering down. Given structure and time for adjustment in a new home, Francie will be delightful companion. We are looking for an adopter who will be patient with her, attend obedience school with her, and be consistent with her training. Francie will also need lots of exercise to be the best she can be.
Francie is a one year-old pitbull mix who weighs 48 pounds.
We think that Little Francie will do best in a home with a confident dog. She seems fine with young children. (We have not cat-tested her.) If you think she’s a good match, please complete an adoption application and a volunteer will contact you! MC
