Large (60 – 100 lbs) Learn MoreLobo, quite simply, will bring you joy. This gorgeous puppy is sweet and gentle, while still full of playful puppy energy. He can be quite timid at first, but with a little patience will soon be trying to get his whole 80lb body up in your lap. When standing or sitting with you, he will lean firmly against your legs letting you know he’s there for you. He picks up training whip quick! That said, at a year old, he’s still just a puppy and will require continued training to walk on leash without pulling, to socialize with other dogs, and to not jump up (he really loves to hug like a human!).
Lobo needs a strong, active owner – he’s not a “let’s walk around the block” sort of dude – with big dog experience. Because of his puppy exuberance, older, dog-savvy children would be best. He is curious about other dogs and seems to want to play, although he is quite vocal with a big, deep bark that can sound a little alarming. (He just wants to be heard, like all youngsters.) Lobo has a strong prey drive so no cats, small dogs, or other small animals in the house, please.
Lobo will be happiest in a rural area, so if you live “out in the country”, we’d love for you to meet him.
Lobo needs a temporary 2 week foster, only.
Please fill out an application to foster soon, before you miss out on the love of a lifetime!
