Stars of the show and partners in crime, Lucy and Ethel are ready to make their debut! These 6-7-year-old shepherd mix gals are searching for a home to spend their golden years together. Friendly, housetrained, playful – Lucy and Ethel are amazing family dogs who love going on long walks, playing ball or tug-of-war, and snuggling up with their people.
Ethel (black and tan, floppy ears) plays the role of the “older sister” – taking the lead on walks, making decisions for the pair (or so she likes to think), and absolutely hamming it up to get as many pets and head scratches as she can soak up. Lucy (gold coat, pointed ears) loves exploring, sniffing around on walks, and gracefully lets Ethel believe she’s in charge. Sweet Lucy is a slightly more independent girl, though she wouldn’t say no to stealing some of your cuddle time. (Lucy weighs about 65 pounds and at 75-80 pounds, Ethel needs to lose a few.)
Our dynamic duo has plenty of pep in their step, but they also know how to relax and hang out at home and have been just fine keeping each other company when the humans need to step out for a while. Both dogs have been great around children, though as larger ladies they may unintentionally knock over smaller kids. They have not been cat-tested.
Lucy and Ethel are a bonded pair who have lived together their whole lives. They are looking for an adopter who will keep them together.
