Macarena is from a small town near Sayulita, Mexico. We fostered her during our 2-week stay in the region and, upon leaving, we adopted her and brought her back to San Francisco, California. Macarena, whose general demeanor is timid and gentle, was shy at first. Yet over the months, she grew to be a part of our family. Macarena is loving, gentle and incredibly sweet with humans. She also likes some cats and dogs, like our cat and our neighbor’s dog.
Macarena is three and a half years old: half the time spent on her own in Mexico and the other half with us. Our time knowing her, unfortunately, hasn’t been without troubles. As Macarena got used to San Francisco, she became dog selective. She gets along fine with some dogs, but with others she becomes fearful and can attack in certain circumstances. For example, she doesn’t like most puppies. She would be best as an only dog in the home. . She is good at jogging with humans and also holds her own on a camping trip. She is trained on an e-collar for recall.
Macarena’s demeanor is is gentle and submissive. She has never, not once, snapped at us or shown any hostility. She is extremely loving and a beautiful animal. If you’re interested in meeting her, please reach out. We would love to introduce you. She is amazing with every person she meets.
