We are obsessed with this sweet-as-pie pocket pittie! Michelle Rose is a three year-old pit mix girl who has had a tough time so far and she’s looking forward to having her luck turn around. She’s a perfect size at 37 pounds for crawling into your lap for snuggles (her fave!)
She was previously in a foster home who reports she has excellent house manners, was very well-behaved, and a five star cuddler, however she has significant separation anxiety and at this time cannot be left alone for long stretches. With some time to decompress and feel safe, we expect she will be able to start work on being alone more but she will need someone patient and understanding, and committed to work with a trainer on her anxieties.
She’s not a big dog, but she is mighty! When excited she can pull on leash and will need some more practice with good leash skills. Her foster mom is working on it, but these skills will need to be continued to be reinforced. She loves going for long walks and enjoys hiking on the weekend. She’s been dog-tolerant, though when she’s feeling extra anxious she prefers to have no dogs in her space. She will do best in a home as a single dog with some dog friends for playdates down the road.
