You may recognize this sweet terrier from last year..Monty was a former Rocket Dog before being adopted by a retired teacher. She loved and spoiled dear Monty! Unfortunately, she became ill and passed away about 2 months ago….and Monty came back to his Rocket Dog fosters. It’s obvious that he misses his “mom” but he is ready for the next chapter of his life.
Monty’s history: The first six years of Monty’s life were spent in an unstable, mostly neglectful environment. When a Good Samaritan met Monty, they asked the owner to allow them to take Monty to the vet and find him a new home. Luckily for Monty, the owner relinquished him for a chance at a better life.
Monty can be a bit shy at first, but does warm up quickly. He is quiet, sleeps in a crate or dog bed, and loves to walk. (Do not let his bow-legs fool you … he keeps pace with the best!) This little guy is sturdy and likes dogs his size or smaller. (He is currently about 18 lbs). He is ok with larger dogs who know their manners… rude dogs are not welcome. Monty is looking for a quiet home with someone to hang out with, not a lot of people coming and going, and a sunny spot to nap in.
