Meet Moose, a 3-year-old “Old Man”. Moose is a golden retriever/ shepherd mix (we think!) with lots of love to give. He gets along well with his resident dog siblings in foster as well as the resident cat.
Moose is a medium energy dog who does well with two 30-45 minute walks a day. He does well socializing at the dog park, and is friendly with all new humans. Moose has met kids outside of the home and is curious. Due to his large size (he is around 70 lbs) he might be better with older kids. Once he settles into the family he is an affectionate cuddler and sticks by your side without being clingy. He likes to play with touch chew toys and is gaining interest in fetch.
Moose sleeps outside the crate without causing mischief. He is house trained in his current foster home and knows to stay off the furniture if not invited. He is working on his leash familiarity. He walks with you but does get curious and want to say hi to new dogs.
Moose recently had surgery to correct a genetic defect in the skin around his eyes (entropian). He is healing nicely and should not need any follow up for this, but does have some bruising in some of his pictures.
If you are ready to meet Moose fill out an application and we will be in touch! (VV)
