Nala is SUCH a sweetheart. She’s a pit/boxer/lab mix, which you should translate as “crazy-smart and loves to give kisses.” She is 3 years-old and about 55 lbs. When you come home from work she does this awesome excited-dance – running laps around the coffee table and wiggling so much her feet just about come out from underneath her. But she also is happy to just chill. She likes to cuddle in bed, but FYI – she snores!
Nala’s foster takes her to tons of different places, so she’s met lots of dogs and people. Everyone loves her. She’s been super well-trained and she’s a dog who wants to do the right thing. Her foster asks her to sit and stay at the opposite end of the kitchen while her dinner is on the floor until she gives her the command to go eat. She’s a really good dog. If she thinks she can get away with it, she’ll pull on the leash, but as soon as you let her know that’s not cool, she heels like magic and she is really great on runs. One time, her foster tripped and fell while running with her in Tilden Park and Nala’s leash slipped out of her hand. Nala immediately came over and tried to lick her human’s skinned knee! Some dogs have lots of empathy for their people – that’s Nala.
Come meet this incredible girl today by filling out an application! You will love her; she is a really amazing dog. A volunteer will contact you soon. (AS)
