Nate is a handsome two-year-old, golden brown Pit Bull mix, about 45 pounds. He is a curious, active guy who loves to play and cuddle with other dogs and loves people. He’s gotten calmer and more relaxed (and has discovered the joys of laying around) in his foster home, but he can be high energy at times (plenty of exercise is the key here!) and is still learning to take social cues from other dogs. Nate is housebroken and knows a few basic commands, and will hang out in his crate from time to time. He would benefit from a person willing to continue to work on his training, so he can learn to walk well on a leash and go on more adventures! Sadly, he was a backyard dog before, so the leash stuff is still a bit new to him. He is a smart and active dog who is eager to please, and with some direction will learn how to be a well-behaved canine citizen.
Nate would be a perfect fit for someone looking for a playmate for a similar-size dog, who does not have cats. If you would like to meet Nate, please fill out an application & a volunteer will be in touch. (KF)
